Profile

Profile

I'm a contract I.T Project Manager, living in South East Kent, U.K. My day job see's me manage the sustain/support and further development of a fairly large global I.T system. In addition I tend to be the go to guy for any loose ends or troublesome pieces of work. I put this down to being the sort of person who just get's on and completes a job with minimal fuss and fanfare. Most of what I do I would call common sense, yet officially I'm a Prince II practitioner.

Enterprise 2.0

Enterprise 2.0

I'm very much into something called Enterprise 2.0. To me it's all about fostering a collaborative and innovative environment within organizations, with the use of 'Social Software'. The fundamentals are low entry cost, zero or minimal training and software that works for the users! So that's the opposite of what most large corporations roll out.

I've recently been involved in introducing Drupal and MediaWiki use within a very large company. I want to do more of this. I truly believe these types of tools are changing the corporate collaboration and innovation landscape.

I'm open to opportunities involving Enterprise 2.0 whether that be business opportunities, consulting, speaking, networking or think tanking. If from this brief intro you think we share something in common, please get in touch!
